This time round sparks were flying. It being Valentines
weekend probably didn’t hurt! But also because I’d already seen the main
attractions we were able to stroll around at a more leisurely pace and wander off
the beaten track from time to time. I also tasted my first – and 100th
– macaroon too. Having ticked off several other blogging clichés like taking copious
amounts of cupcake pictures, getting bangs, and (shortly) getting a cat, macaroons were
one of the last big things on the bucket list :) Anyway, here are a couple of pics from
the weekend.
The Dali exhibition in the Pompidou Centre was amazing. We didn't know it was on so it was a very pleasant surprise. It was quite a surreal experience to see so many of Dali's amazing works crammed into the one room. Plus we even got to co-star alongside Mae West's lips (and as you can see I do in fact have a head afterall!) I think the exhibition runs until March so for anyone planning a visit it's definitely worth a visit. It's even worth visiting Paris especially to see it.

Your pictures are gorgeous! I happened across a Dali exhibit in Paris several years ago as well, which was really great. Gosh, I have some photos from when I was there last summer; I really should get them together in a post too! Looking forward to more on Paris!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you'd a fab time Bridgette. Gorgeous pics. I've never been to Paris, but it is definitely very high on my list of places I'd like to visit. x
ReplyDeleteYou're photos are beautiful, I'm so glad you fell in love with Paris, I really did too. I'm already planning my next trip there. There is so much to see. I'll definitely have to go to more exhibitions next time!

Love your pictures, Paris is so cute.. <3 Ps. loveeee your blog, I follow you!
ReplyDeleteI think Paris is one of those places that everyone at one point aspires to visit, it's so rich in history and with the lights, the food and history, it really just seems amazing. It's really cool that you live (sort of) close by, it seems like with the transportation system Europe is much more accessible than for us living overseas, do you get to travel around a bit?
ReplyDeleteIt does look like you had so much fun and the Mae West exhibit is just priceless.
I love Paris and your pictures make me want to arrange my next trip right now!! My last trip was a whirlwind typical tourist job so I would love to go back and investigate the city at a much more leisurely pace. Thank you for sharing. Even though I am now green with envy.
