My lovely brother asked me if I'd made our Granny stand
in for me in my last outfit post – apparently I was looking a little on the
frumpy side! He can be about as blunt as a sledge hammer but I have to
grudgingly admit he’s right – the baggy cardigan didn’t do me any favours. So
here I am in another outfit I’m sure my brother would claim is channelling my
inner Granny – the pattern of my dress probably wouldn’t look amiss as
wallpaper and my heavy cable-knit jumper looks like it’s fresh off my Granny’s
knitting needles. What can I say though, I’m a fan of ‘dated-looking’ fashion.
So add a few extra inches to the hem line and I’ll probably still be dressing
like this when I am an actual Granny.
In the meantime I’ll have to send my brother a link to the
wonderful Advanced Style blog!
Outfit: Jumper, New Look; dress, vintage; boots, Kurt Geiger.

Haha well if this is granny, then I too love granny style. A cozy sweater over a vintage dress is my favorite! That's too funny about your brother, but sometimes its good hearing others opinions too! I wanted to buy and extra large oversize vintage coat and my boyfriend kindly pointed out, even though I like the print, it DID NOT FIT.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, cheers to granny style, I think you look adorable!

Thank you for your kind comment about my photographs. The jumper you're wearing is so nice - I love the colour. In fact, I really like your style, in general. I'm partial to a floral dress and a cardigan myself.
ReplyDeleteThat jumper is divine!
ReplyDeleteThose cables and that colour just combine to make it look cozy!
I want to knit this!
(Plus I think its a really pretty outfit, and sometimes boys just don't get it.)
I looove this, such a wonderful jumper! Cable knit = best thing ever. I love how it matches your socks hehe<3

My inner granny would love this outfit. :) I love sweaters and wear them as many months as the weather allows.
ReplyDeleteYour layering is perfect. Oh and I've been called a granny so many times I've lost count, just wear what you want! (:
ReplyDeleteOh well, so I guess I love your inner granny!:)) The outfit is really pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat jumper looks like the epitome of all jumpers warm and lovely, I particularly like how it matches your socks so well. Also, I love your photos!
ReplyDeleteI freaking love granny clothes, and I don't think there is any shame in it. I absolutely love this outfit, the print on your dress is adorable and I love heavy knits. If you don't like the granny label you could always say it is stylish and functional - who wants to be outfit without some woolly at the moment?xo
ReplyDeleteYou should channel your inner granny more often because you look awesome x
ReplyDeleteThis is an ADORABLE outfit! I don't think it's granny at all -- you can rock anything! :)
