This wizened corn field seemed like a good idea for some outfit pics at the time but looking at them now the dead stalks seem a little vine-like – as though they’re trying to wind themselves around my limbs and entrap me! It’s really nice being back in the countryside though for a bit after the last couple of months in Glasgow. So I’ll take a scraggly wild corn field as a backdrop to pictures any day over a concrete jungle.
I hope everyone is having a lovely Christmas. I have some
pics of mine coming soon. I spent the main part of it with my husband’s family making
it my first Christmas away from home. I have to admit it was a little strange –like
a parallel-world Christmas. My husband’s mum pulled out all the stops though to
make me feel really at home – there was even a Santa stocking by the stove with
my name on it which was a lovely touch. I got so many lovely presents – from books
to clothes to lots of baking-themed goodies which puts a bit of a spanner in
the New Year’s healthy eating works but oh well.
So did Santa bring anything
nice to any of you?

What a pretty place to take photos! I can imagine the sunlight at dusk would be incredible there in the springtime...
